Public Mirrors explores the tenuous privacies I develop in my public life and in public space. In the patchwork of proud vulnerability, embarrassing nakedness, deceptive masks, projections, and suspicious omissions that make up my image to others, I add this opaque and reflective screen. This sparkling absence looks back at the anonymous gazes that watch me.
